It's hard to believe that almost seven months have gone by without us making a single entry in our web-journal!!!
A lot has happened since we wrote last and we've made a few uploads to our pictures page.
Among these new pictures are images of our wedding/tea ceremony, our new house,
our new dog, and others! As you can see, we weren't kidding when we said that a lot has happened!
As mentioned above, we are now married. We were wed on 22 December, 2006, in Sandy, Utah! Not quite as romantic as Hawai'i, but a lot of
our friends and family were able to be there and make it special for us.
Shortly after geting married, we bought a new house! We bought our home from Ben's Aunt and Uncle (Goo-Ma and Raymond) and we did a lot of
remodeling to it. We're still not to a point where we'd like to be but will we ever be? For now it's quite comfortable and today we put new
curtains in our living room making it even better.
After we purchased our house, we went terrarium shopping as Ben wanted to put a nice looking one in our living room to showcase some of his frogs.
At Petsmart, we saw the cutest little dog sitting like a meerkat. A week later, she was living in our home. We adopted her from the Utah Animal
Advocacy Foundation and she has auto-immune polyarthritis (a genetic disease that causes her immune system to attack her joints). She is currently on
a lot of medication but we've reduced it significantly since we adopted her and she seems to be much happier in our home than in a crate at the pet store!
In addition to adding the dog to our family, we are now expecting to add another person to our family! No, neither one of us has become polygamous, Ashley is
pregnant! It was this amazing event (among all the others mentioned above) that inspired us to continue writing in our web-journal. We hope to maintain it as
frequently as we did during our stay in Hawai'i.
Ben still works with tadpoles (although in a much less beautiful environment/setting). He is working hard to try and graduate early. Those tadpoles are still
hard to measure!
Ashley now works at Myriad Genetics. She is a technician there and dislikes it a lot (but can it be worse than her zoo job???) She
just misses research. Ben is getting a bit sick of research... maybe we should switch jobs!
And now, in our odd tradition of odd closing lines, we'll leave you with...
