It's been over a month since we have posted!!! Time has been really flying! Since our last post, we went to california, had a
freak weather incident, had another visit with a midwife, and found an interesting animal in our garden!!


First things first...California... ahh....


We spent 10 days (20 July to 30 July) at Ashley's Uncle's beach house in Capistrano, California. It has been a Green family tradition for-
no joke-50 years! The beach was awesome! Pictures of our awesome trip can be seen here.


In California, we had some really good times going to different beaches, and basically relaxing! That's what a vacation is for, isn't it??


The week that we got back, there were strong microburst winds in our area. They were so strong that while Ben was at work, his mom called him
asking if any trees had blown over. Several of his uncle's trees had blown over and fallen onto his house and she thought ours might have as well...
She drove to our house and--two trees blew over! These weren't little trees either, both 40' pine trees! We spent that week cutting up our fallen tree, which
by count of rings was approximately 55 years old, and hauling it to the curb. The city provided us dumpsters that they dropped off in the neighborhood and
our debri filled FOUR OF THEM UP!!! The clean up was a lot of work and the whole neighborhood pitched in and helped us, it was amazing!


After the weather disaster, which was defined by our insurance company as a 'catastrophe,' we had a visit to the midwife. It was our second appointment and Ashley
was 11.5 weeks pregnant. That trip was definitely our coolest, by far! We got to hear the baby's heart beat!!! It was one of those sounds that is so simple, yet
was possibly the most amazing sound that we had heard! We are still in shock that another human is growing inside of Ashley. What an amazing process!!!!


So, that wraps up the past few weeks...now to today, a weird event...we just came home from work/school and were relaxing outside when we decided to check our garden out
and see how it had progressed. As we were walking through the garden, eating tomatoes, peas, etc. Ben looked down and said, "Ashley, there's a baby cat in our garden." She
ducked down to look at it and said, "It's a hampster!" We'll leave it up to you guys...is it a cat or a hampster?
I guess we were both wrong. It's actually a Guinea Pig. Ben only got to see a small amount of the backside of it so that's why he thought it was a cat and, it's face does look a lot like
a hampster...anyway, the weird thing is: they don't live in utah. It must be an escaped pet! We're going to post signs since neither of our neighbors claimed it and hopefully it goes back
to it's owners!


It's been a very busy few weeks and we really will put an effort into posting more often!
