We enjoyed the evening with Ashley's coworker, Bruce, and his wife, Cassie. They were kind enough to let us come and puruse their lovely home and yard as well as make us a wonderful dinner. The thing is, we did not turn out to be lovely and wonderful houseguests.

First, we had our loveable dog, Kona, with us. Bruce and Cassie seemed pleased to have her around, but it was a bit embarrassing to bring a dog to someone's home without prior consent.

Second, our sweet daughter, Maia, was not feeling so sweet. She did not have an afternoon nap and was a bit cranky as a result. However, she found great delight in all of the cat decor, mewing very loudly throughout the house.

Combined, Kona and Maia, were the Disaster Duo. Knocking over the dog's water all over the floor, pooping in the yard, falling in the poop, throwing a stuffed animal into the pond, drinking out of the pond, and chasing the cat were some of the things that this disaster duo came up with for fun.

Although, we had a great time and Bruce and Cassie were so nice, we do not think that we will be trying the whole family dinner party again.

On the bright side, Bruce was able to give some of his cactus overgrowth to Ashley. She is thrilled to have it and cannot wait to put them into pots!

Thank you, Bruce and Cassie!!!
