The Rio Tinto Copper Refinery

Because of Ben’s affiliation with the Natural History Musem, he was asked if he would like to attend a tour of Rio Tinto Copper Refinery. Ashley and he attended last Wednesday. It was much more of a production than they anticipated! There was a jazz band doing renditions of metal music—for the Heavy Metal Tour, of course, media present, speeches by Rio Tinto reps and the museum director, a viewing of the last plates of copper to be used in the museum being loaded onto a freight car, the tour, lunch, and goodies. It was very enlightening and an honor to be invited.
