Memorial Day 5K

Saturday before Memorial Day, my mom, the kids, and I ran a race to support a friend's family. It was great for us to spend some time together and do something worthwhile. It was also nice jogging next to someone so stylish--she is always in Lululemon--other people were even complimenting her! It was pretty windy up there, but we kept a steady pace and did not take the shortcut so many others were taking. Akai was happy because he got to see Thomas the Engine (the Heber Creeper).

We got to spend some time with Stacy and Nathan and Claire and Jesse. Stacy surprised us all over shaved ice by telling us that she was pregnant! Now we will have three new nieces/nephews this year! We went to one of our favorite restaurants, It's Tofu, with Jesse and Claire. It is very nice to have them back from Ecuador!
