Wednesday night is restaurant and music class night. Last night, Maia asked for Noodles and Co., but Ben and I overrode her decision and headed to a closer Chinese restaurant. Upon our arrival, we saw several police, police cars, and people in handcuffs. Ben said it looked like there had been a fight that included people bashing each others cars. "Well, let's not eat there," was the consensus and we proceeded to drive to the aforementioned place. On the way there, what did we see, but another slew of cop cars and police searching a vehicle. Weird. I thought we lived in Utah. Not only that, but we were on the upper east side where nothing of consequence ever happens. Oh, well.
We got our noodles and Jamba and went to Sugarhouse Park to eat and play in the thunderstorm. It was VERY pleasant not sitting in the heat that we have been so used to lately.
We then went to Music Together at the Imagination Station. This is perhaps the BEST class ever. Maia and Akai love it and are all smiles at going in the door! They get to sing, play instruments, and dance. However, we have been realizing the reason Akai like it so much...it's the teacher, Dawn. Dawn has a big smile, a pixie like face, and a high voice. Everything a small child would love in a woman. Everytime, Akai sees her, he turns to her and smiles and smiles and smiles. I think he may be in love...
