Hello, everybody! Sorry that we didn't write yesterday. Ashley worked 9.5 hours and was tired after (she actually is tired today as well). Her job isn't actually that hard but working outside and working with kids can make you TIRED and to top it off,
it's all outside in the sun...so she's pretty tired. So today after work she just wanted to relax so we've been doing that up until this point. When we sat down to dinner we noticed a gecko and we thought to ourselves, "Man, it's a little darker and looks a lot
thinner than he was last time!" We went to get a closer look and realized that we have TWO day geckos! Both of them were sitting on the side of our table while we ate dinner! He must have gotten lonely and attracted a mate! Maybe we'll have a couple eggs soon, who knows??
Our first gecko must have attracted it because they seem to be cooperating and if it didn't want to share it's mango, it would fight it off!
We were browsing CNN today and saw a news story that had to do with Hawaii, so we thought we'd post the link. You can view the story
here.
Basically, there is a school here, Kamehameha School that was up until today admitting only native Hawaiians. The court ordered today that they allow all people to be accepted...
Today we also found out that there are Wallaby's here! We hope to photograph them while we're out here!
Another really cool thing is that we found Ashley's drink here: VEDGE! We had looked all over Hawaii in search of it and found it today less than a mile from our house at a natural food store! You should have saw the look on her face when she saw it sitting in their fridge! She was very excited :-)
Well, we better stop writing before Ashley falls asleep...
Sleep well everyone!
Ben & Ashley
