Today, we decided to go to the north shore!

We started our journey to the north shore by stopping by the Dole plantation.
First, we took a train on the Pineapple Express tour around the plantation and learned all about pineapple. We learned even more about pineapples by watching a
presentation on how to pick and cut a pineapple. It was amazing! If you need someone to select a pineapple for you at the grocery store, you
all know at least one of three experts (pictured at the end of this post).

Here are pictures of the three of us at the plantation:

And pictures of 3 different 'morphs' of pineapple they had growing there:

After our train ride, we enjoyed a pineapple "dole whip" (non-dairy, icecream-like dessert)!

Next on our agenda was Sharks Cove! This place was incredible! We went snorkeling and found it to be MUCH better than Hanauma Bay. There were more
fish, the water was more clear, it was less crowded, and just a better area in general. We saw pipefish, pufferfish, trigerfish, sea cucumbers and more.
But the most exciting thing that we saw was an octopus! We even watched it swim!

Here's a picture of the cove:

And one of Ashley/Ben:

We had hoped to go to the polynesian cultural center after the cove, but we were so exhausted (and it was getting late) from snorkeling that we just came back home. Tomorrow, we're off to the
swap meet so we've got to get a lot of rest...

Pineapple dreams,
