Another hot/humid day here on O'ahu. Our apartment was cooking us all day! We went out today for
what would have been a couple hour trip if we had a car but it ended up taking us all day! We took
our favorite bus, the #5 down to the Ala Moana Shopping Center to go shopping for Ben's dad's birthday
present (which we found, but we're not telling what it is!!!), had a quick lunch at Charley's grilled
subs and then went off to the movies!




Ashley has been dieing to see the new Harry Potter and we finally got a chance to go watch it. We bought
tickets to the 1:30 show hoping to avoid a crowd of kids that just got out of school and got lucky as the
theater was practically empty! Ben thought it was the BEST harry potter movie that he'd ever seen (and,
you guessed it--the only one he'd seen). Ashley was hoping that it would be better than it was
but she still liked it. This must have been because she read the book first (that seems to be a problem
with all movies made about books, eh?). She read the book "Memoirs of a Geisha" and the movie is coming
out in December...she thought it was the best book she'd read in a long time and is expecting that the movie
will be really great (Ben thinks she's setting herself up for disappointment...).




After that, we stopped off at the store and picked up some stuff for our thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and came home
to play with Google earth! For those of you who don't know, google earth is software where you can look at
maps of the world and zoom in pretty far. The images generated are from satellite photos and it was pretty
fun trying to find our house. Those of you that want to see where we live, e-mail us and we'll give you the
coordinates.
