We were supposed to get a new couch today. But again, our landlord failed to see the business
transaction through and it never arrived. He is always telling us that he needs to do something
at some time over here and then never ends up coming over. The couch was to come at 9:45 this morning. He
knocks on the door at 9 and asks for us to help him move the current couch out of the apartment.
We go to find out where he wants it and he tells us that the guy just called and can't find the couch
that is supposed to go in our apartment. So...we moved all our furniture out of the way for nothing.
Then, we watched a movie: Anchorman. It was a little bit more stupid than we expected. The previews on
TV were from the first 30 seconds of the movie and didn't really have much to do w/ the story. Basically, it
was a movie where they had a scene and said, "Hey Will Farrel, do something funny" and he tried to. We watched
it because we had to return a bunch of movies today or they would have charged us. We were happy to get out
of our house because it was soooooo hot and muggy in here! The humidity was 92% and the breeze wasn't blowing in the
normal direction so we weren't getting any airflow in our A/C-less apartment...it was HOT!
For dinner, we went to have our favorite cheap chinese food at Golden Dynasty. And, as usual, our eyes were bigger than
our stomachs. We thought about taking it to a woman that we usually see on the way to blockbuster. She is a homeless
lady who never ventures much farther than 10' from the spot we always see her at. The problem was--we don't know the
etiquette in a situation like that. Would we offend her by bringing her our leftovers or would she be happy to have
something to eat? She doesn't appear to be starving to death and looks to weigh more than both of us combined but she
is definitely homeless. She sleeps on the same curb and we see her every time we go to blockbuster. Any ideas, input, etc. on
the proper etiquette would be much appreciated so: e-mail us!
After dinner, we played Sims together and then started writing this!
We thought we were in Hawai'i but it seems hot/humid like the east coast in the summer,
