Ben and Ashley took a long-awaited mini-trip to Park City, Utah for the 4th of July weekend. We had a wonderful time eating, relaxing, sleeping, watching shows about Stalin's ape army, etc. However, one of the best things about the trip was the cooler weather. It is about ten degrees cooler there than in Salt Lake. We stayed at the Marriott with a 'get one night free' coupon courtesy of Ben's Dad (THANK YOU). We also got 15% off our meal and $25 dollars off our room for using our Visa to pay. Unfortunately, Ashley made up for the money saved by a shopping spree at the Tanger Outlet Mall. Also, being a tourist city, the cost of food and massages was quite a bit more expensive. We ate at some really great places though.

One of the neatest things about our trip was not being embarrassed about our car. We are now driving a 2008 Honda Civic (as of ). It is a dark charcoal color with a light gray, leather interior and a sun roof. It is beautiful! I think we looked outside our window at the car longer than we watched the fireworks out of it (yes, we had a nice view of the parking lot).

Maia stayed with her grandparents. Lois watched her on Friday night and Joan wated her on Saturday night. We are extremely lucky to have such great parents who would do this for us!! Thank you!!! Maia had a great time, especially with her Papa (Rick). She would run around looking for him, saying, "Papa...Papa!"

Even though Maia had fun and was very good over the weekend, she was upset with us for leaving her. As soon as we put her in the car to drive home, she started crying big tears! She was talking to us and sounded sooo sad. She quickly was back to her normal self and would not stop hugging her mommy and daddy. She wanted kisses too, unfortunately, we were eating hot wings and did not want her to get a mouthful of hot sauce!

Hot Sauce kisses,
