on last time). On it, there's a scenic area called the "Pali Lookout" so we drove up to it and took this beautiful picture:
Pretty scenic, ya? Well, we were in the middle of a storm and although the camera does not show it, it was raining. You have to note that the Pali Lookout is scenic because it is high up on a mountain and overlooks Kailua, so on days like today (stormy) you can't see a whole bunch but we thought
that it was funny because if you look really carefully, the caption on the sign says, "What can I see from here?"
Appearantly nothing...
After the scenic Pali Lookout we headed down to Kailua to the famous Kailua Beach Park. This is a picture we took of ourselves at Kailua Beach Park:
The beach was incredible and the sand was so fine that it felt a little funny to walk on (see picture below). It was almost like walking on flour or powdered sugar in some parts!
Note: The picture is of Ashley's feet after walking the beach...Ben got in too much trouble for posting the picture of his leg on a post during week one from some of his family who was too grossed out...
Anyway, we had a great time at the beach and the weather was pretty good! It was overcast, so we weren't cooking, and there was a bit of a breeze...alright, a big breeze...at times it felt like we were being sand blasted, but this quickly passed as we took our walk along the beach which goes for miles!
After a week like we've had, there's only one thing left to say: "T.G.I.F.!"

Here's a picture of Kailua Beach in case you actually wanted to see the beach rather than us or a part of us...
