Well, right when we thought we had the cockroach problem under control, we started discovering lots of the little buggers in our apartment...It was going so well too, our gecko's were keeping the numbers down until they decided to do maintenance work on the apartment next door! We share too much with this apartment already: "interesting" smells creep into our apartment from
time to time, nearly ALL of his phone calls we can overhear if we want, and now this--his insects!

Paul, the maintenance man, the same guy who gassed us out a week or so ago with the bleach fumes has been hammering away the past couple of days and it's been scaring all the cockroaches over here! We've spotted at least five in the past two days which is a new record since we brought the gecko in to take care of the problem...

Insects/smells/noise pollution aside, we had a great day today! We went to the Ala Moana Center today to do some clothes shopping as Ashley had an old gift card that she did not use up all the way before we moved out here.

After that we watched War of the Worlds which actually turned out to be a pretty good movie! That is, if you all haven't had enough of
Tom Cruise recently...Be careful of that link...it has some bigger files and if you are using a dialup internet connection your modem may melt :) (the page is titled "Tom Cruise Kills Oprah") We did, however, find a few 'errors' in the movie though such as doors closing the wrong way, certain electronic devices working when they shouldn't be, etc. but what can you expect
from an action movie?

After that, we came home to eat, Ben worked on his computer and Ashley read her book Memoirs of a Geisha: A Novel (a book she has been obsessed with for the past little while...), then we started typing this. So, there you have it...

Good Morning! (We figured we'd try closing with a 'good morning' as it is already morning back home...)
