bad the previous to days...however, we had a lot of good luck today!
First, Ben went to go get the car from the dealership that we had it towed to (for those unfamiliar with what happened, refer to our previous weeks entry).
Ben was even lucky enough to ride the bus for free! We were afraid of the bill, since we've already paid ~$300 for towing fees. He waited for a couple hours at the dealer and finally the news came...we owed...(drum roll here)...
NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zero dollars, zero yen, zero anything, just a thank you! Why, you ask? Because the previous owners (or the owners before him) purchased an extended waranty that lasts until 150k miles! The dealership
also replaced the catalytic converter, the entire ignition system, gave us a free oil change, and washed our car! We were so excited/relieved! The service guy told Ben how much it would have costed if we did not have the warranty and that was
$1800!!!! Can you believe it? It was our lucky day!
After taking care of the car stuff, we went to meet up with some fellow frog enthusiasts who showed us a new place to find them...a place that is very close to our house! They were nice people just starting
in the hobby and we had a good time looking for frogs in a group. After that it was tadpole measuring...the usual night activity for us :)
We are very relieved that our streak of bad luck seems to be over and are very excited to get back to our regular, car-dependant lives,
