It was much easier than she expected because the parents of all the children attended at both parties. The parties had
one basic agenda: color an animal mask, feed the birds or the turtles and fish, eat pizza, cake and ice cream, break
open a pinata. The older kids loved it, the younger kids were a little bored. At one of the parties, everyone was amazed
to see a shoe in the middle of the pool that surrounded the siamang enclosure. Much to our delight, the siamang took
interest in the shoe as well. It waded out into the water to capture it and ran back up to a dry spot on his "jungle
gym" where he carefully inspected it. He pulled on it and looked it over and began smelling it. He sniffed here and
there, then he sniffed inside the shoe and promptly threw it back into the water with a look of disgust on his face.
It was quite humorous.
