Well, it seemed like we got a lot done today! We started off the day by going up to the arboretum to set up an outdoor enclosure for our frogs (it is pictured below). We took and modified a rabbit hutch and tipped it on its side, and we
are very proud of it! We're hopeful that we'll get a lot of research done using this outdoor setup. While at the arboretum we took a stroll in the parking lot searching for tadpoles and we saw nearly 10 in different puddles! It was very
exciting and we even saw a male dropping off a tadpole in a puddle. This was especially interesting to us as we've never actually observed this behavior before. We may have just made ourselves sound a million times geekier than we should have
but, hey--it was pretty dang cool! Another exciting event that happened while we were at the arboretum was we got to experience a morning with a flock of wild cockatoo! They were very loud and seemed very aware of our presence but basically
carried on with their daily noise making. To hear approximately what we heard, click this link and then click the play buttons above the "Major Mitchell" and "Slender Billed Corella" at the same time...then multiply the sound by 10. We would have shared pictures of these beautiful birds but, unfortunately, they move too much and we only have a 10x optical zoom on our camera...

We also snapped a picture of another neat-o animal at the arboretum and decided to post it below...the cane toad, Bufo marinus. The one pictured below was blind in one eye!

After getting all of the arboretum work taken care of, we went to the health center to get Ashley's required TB test. The line was pretty long and we have to go back thursday to get it checked. The reason she needs it is because she'll be working
at the zoo.

So, all of you readers know what we do everyday, but we have NO IDEA what most of YOU do! E-mail us! You know our e-mail addy's, drop us a line! What's going on back home? How's the weather? More importantly, how are YOU???

We hope to hear from ALL OF YOU :),

Ben & Ashley

P.S. if any of you have some decent binoculars, we would very very very much appreciate it if you would lend them to us for 6 months or so...
