Whoa! We missed two days in a row!!! These past few days have been busy!!!

As you all know from the post on the 23rd, we were not planning on writing on the 24th because we had a "snooze in the zoo." It was a lot of fun, we got to see a lot of the animals at night when they are the most active.
We got to see elephants, Rusti the orangutan, the hippo and most cool, the hyena's. They were especially cool because they came right up to the glass and we were only inches away from them!!! We did not actually "snooze" in the zoo although the other people did
but we were there for most of the action. Check out our pictures from the daytime here.

On saturday the 24th, we went to the taste of Honolulu. This was a function that included many restaurants, bars, and a grocery store that you were able to go around to and have tastes of their food/drink/dessert/etc.
They also had rides, games, and concerts going on. THe money went to benefit the Easter Seals, a group that works with people with disabilities. It reminded us a lot of the Arts Fair back home and it was
just about as expensive but we got to try some really good food like a really really really (believe it or not) good salad from the Hapa Grill called the "I love you like mango" calamari salad, kalua pig (not very good...), mango cheesecake, haupia, malasadas, and rock steak. We had a
really good time and were out late listening to the wonderful music.

Today, we watched Land of the Dead. Ben has been counting down the days for a couple weeks to go watch this movie as he is obsessed with zombies! Unfortunately (or in Ashley's words, "As expected"), it was not
as entertaining as Ben had hoped and it was rather gory, but it was pretty good. We also realized (after somebody told us) that there are no billboards here!

We have to go now because Ashley is very grumpy because she worked every day this week and didn't get that much sleep. We apologize to all of our faithful readers and we'll try to make up for not writing in the upcoming week!

Uuuuuuhhhgghgghghhhhhh (Zombie for "goodnight"),

Ben & Ashley

Here we are at the "Snooze in the Zoo."
