every time she enters the passenger door, she fears for her life!!! Anyway, the damage to our car is a bit extreme (you can see the pictures below). The first and only bid that we received today was estimated at $2200. This is a lot considering that the car was purchased for $2700. This estimate is a great benefit for us as we are just planning on selling the car
for close to the same price that we bought it for. (Ashley just feels a little guilty about making a profit off of something that really was an accident). So we will be going to get a couple more bids tomorrow and we will keep you updated.
The positive (hopefully) thing that happened today is that Ashley got a job at the Honolulu Zoo in the education program. She will mostly be teaching children under kindergarten age about the animals in the zoo and helping them to feed and pet them. She will also be helping with birthday parties on the weekends. We don’t know if she is going to be sick of the animals
or the kids by the time the summer is over!
We celebrated her job with a celebratory lunch at The Cheesecake Factory where Ben had a large piece of peanut butter, chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. It was sooo rich Ashley could not believe that he ate the entire thing! But that’s Ben for you, never a waster. We also went to buy a couple of pairs of shorts and shoes for Ashley’s new job. (The short’s
were really Ashley’s excuse to get Ben to buy some shorts as he only brought two pair)!!!
With all that we did today, we did not get to any research. It is our first day that we have not gone and searched for frogs at the very least. Hopefully, it is one of the few days out of many that this happens….but you never know here in paradise….
One more thing, we have received our first request for a picture. (We hope to have that very soon for you Mrs. Lois Chan). Because of this, we will hopefully be adding a spot for all you faithful readers to make your own requests.
Good night, everybody!
Ashley and Ben
